Treatment modalities,

Treatment modalities are the different approaches and techniques we use in therapy

We promote healthy and active living to improve the quality of life

Our Treatment Modalities

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT helps individuals recognize and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to substance use. It teaches coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and helps clients identify triggers and develop healthier responses.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Originally developed for individuals with severe emotional regulation issues, DBT is effective for those with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. It teaches mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

REBT is based on the idea that emotional distress and behavioral problems are largely influenced—not by external events themselves—but by the beliefs and interpretations individuals attach to those events. It helps clients challenge irrational beliefs that support drug or alcohol use

Motivational Interviewing

MI is a client-centered approach focused on strengthening motivation and commitment to change. Instead of confrontation, therapists help individuals explore ambivalence and build internal motivation to stop using substances.

Holistic Approaches

Treatment views the individual as a whole rather than focusing solely on the addiction. It considers the interconnected aspects of a person’s life—mind, body, emotions, relationships, and environment—to support long-term healing and recovery.

Contingency Management(CM)

CM uses incentives or rewards to encourage positive behaviors such as negative drug screenings, therapy attendance, or medication compliance. It reinforces healthy habits and supports behavioral change.

Harm Reduction Approaches

Instead of requiring immediate abstinence, harm reduction focuses on reducing negative consequences of substance use (e.g., safer-use practices, gradual change). It is often used in early engagement or high-risk populations.

Relapse Prevention Therapy

Relapse prevention is a structured therapeutic approach designed to help individuals in recovery recognize triggers, manage cravings, and build long-term strategies to avoid returning to substance use. It focuses on strengthening coping skills, increasing awareness of high-risk situations, and developing a sustainable lifestyle that supports sobriety.

Medically-Assisted Treatment

Therapy integrated with medications such as Suboxone, Methadone, or Naltrexone can support recovery from opioid or alcohol addiction. Counseling ensures clients understand medication use and build recovery skills.

Evidence Based Therapy

EV therapies, interventions, and strategies that have been scientifically tested, researched, and proven effective through clinical studies and outcome data. These methods are backed by measurable results rather than opinion, tradition, or untested theories.

Motivational Enhancement Therapy

This approach designed to strengthen an individual’s motivation and commitment to change substance use behaviors. It is closely related to Motivational Interviewing (MI) but is more structured and often incorporated into treatment programs early in recovery.

Behavioral Self Control

This approach helps individuals monitor, modify, and gradually reduce their substance use by changing learned behaviors and thought patterns. It is rooted in principles of behavioral psychology and focuses on helping clients gain control over their actions rather than relying on willpower alone.
